It is indeed our pleasure to introduce ourselves as best located hotel in town named Hotel Alaknanda, under the Shadow of shivalik hills and at the Bank of Ganga. 38 well rooms with attach bath with restaurant (A.C.), Small Hall, Travel Desk, Room Service, 24 hrs running water, C.C.T.V, etc.

The property is rated very good only because of its superb location - right by the river, opp hari ki pauri, to the right. one literally walks down to bathe or gaze at the river. in terms of accomodation - water problems, electricity going off, the odd lizard in the loo..... !!

The staff are government employees with the corresponding attitude. food is simple Indian, but good. If only the UP government would upgrade the facilities, this could be in one of its kind property.
